Welcome to Arts on the Trail 2026

9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Arts on the Trail is an annual event occurs the last Saturday in September. For one day, more than 50 artists, in a variety of locations around the City, will display their works.
To quote a 2023 participant, “I didn’t realize there were so many talented artists in Elliot Lake.” In 2023, the event drew more than 800 visitors.
After a very successful event in 2025, Elliot Lake ARTS ON THE TRAIL is being held again in 2026. The date is Saturday, September 26, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

As part of Arts on the Trail, the Arts Club will be hosting open studios and tours of the Elliot Lake Arts & Heritage Centre.
Building on our mission “to encourage active participation in and an appreciation of, the fine arts and crafts in Elliot Lake and vicinity”, the club supports artists in a wide variety of disciplines.
Disciplines Include:
Painting/Drawing
Printmaking
Pottery
Weaving
Fibre Arts
Stained Glass
Enamelling
The Elliot Lake Woodcarvers have been a community institution for many years. The Woodworkers meet every Wednesday morning at Gentle Shepherd Church.
The EL Woodcarvers offer a range of classes from basic to advanced. They have also recently introduced Wood Burning! Members can use club tools to work on their own projects or work with other members to learn how to make a bigger project.
Arts on the Trail has invited the elliot Lake Wood Carvers to the Elliot Lake Arts and Heritage Centre to provide an exhibit of their lovely work. Drop in, meet members and find out how you can joing this very impressive club.
Founded in January 2004 by 22 model railroaders of various modeling experiences. Their goal is to support the community’s effort to promote itself as a retirement and tourist venue, offering an incentive to visit or relocate to Elliot Lake.
They are dedicated to fostering a sense of wonder, curiosity, and learning through their model railroad.
The Model Railroad club’s studio is housed in the Elliot Lake Arts & Heritage Centre and will be open during Arts on the Trail.
There will be free coffee and snacks for our visitors at the South Bay Park stop.
Dunlop Lake Lodge will have a lunch special of Fish & Chips for $15.00 +tax
Due to unforseen circumstances, Dawn-Ann Trebilcock has had to withdraw from this year’s show. In her place, Mark Hautanen, woodworker will be returning to AOTT and be at Dunlop Lake Lodge showcasing his work.
