Julie Merk grew up in Sudbury, Ontario, spending summers chasing frogs and picking blueberries. After 32 years of teaching in Elliot Lake, she enjoys holding children’s painting workshops for budding artists. Through watercolour, she uses bold vibrant hues often choosing children as her subject because they are close to her heart.
