Linda Finn is a multi-disciplinary artist noted for her use of diverse media in the expression of a concept or idea. Raised in Orillia, Ontario, her parents encouraged her to be creative. At the Ontario College of Art, Linda learned the basics, continuing her studies at the University of Waterloo and later at White Mountain Academy of the Arts in Elliot Lake. With this strong artistic foundation, she felt free to experiment with new media and techniques.
An elected member of the OSA, SCA, CSPWC, NOAA and WAAC, Linda has exhibited her work in over 250 exhibitions in Canada, USA, Japan, Mexico and France. The recipient of numerous awards, she enjoys teaching workshops, and has received Ontario Arts Council grants in support of her practice.
She has lived in Elliot Lake for many years and credits moving to Northern Ontario as the catalyst for pursuing her artistic career.
