Jola Klim

(mixed media artist, pottery instructor, and for-ever-dreamer about a better tomorrow for all of us living on Earth). She lives on Popeye Lake, just outside Elliot Lake.

She is a Polish-native who immigrated to Canada in 1982. She worked as an ESL/TESL instructor and a high school teacher of various subjects in Toronto for over 25 years until retiring in Elliot Lake in 2013 and devoting herself into creating in clay and other art formspainting, print-making, and designing jewelry (from stoneware and raku clay, treasure findings from around the world, and both recycled and new silver.)

Her two- and three-dimensional body of work on canvas, wood, paper, or clay creates layers of textures and new schemes of colours in the expressive to more abstract vision of the Our World remembering various places visited and imagined.
